Also included are nylon straps on each side of the pack, 2 nylon straps underneath the pack, and 1 large "Y" nylon strap running from the top front of the pack, down center, and under the bottom. These additional straps are for cinching the load of your pack down as tight as possible. Although this backpack is 30 liters, it can expand to 36 liters should you need to use every possible inch.
